Kelsey Farms

This past Saturday we took advantage of a sunny fall afternoon by visiting Kelsey Farms, a local dairy farm that has all sorts of activities for the kids. Hannah wanted nothing more than to pet a cow, but she was very disappointed to find that they were too shy to allow her to come close. Luckily, we spotted a small pen with two 5 day-old calves that Hannah could pet as much as she wanted. Blake was thrilled to stand at the calves' pen, and squealed happily whenever they came close to him. We enjoyed eating our lunch while listening to live music provided by the Desert Skies Band from New Mexico. Blake showed off some of his dance moves while Hannah sat very quietly eating Cheetos and focused on the music. We toured the milking barn, climbed a hay mountain, played in the "corn crib", and picked out some pumpkins. Hopefully next time we'll have time for the hayride and corn maze.
