Ages and Stages

Blake, 10 months

• Has one tooth, on the bottom



• Can crawl faster than any baby I have ever seen



• Loves to splash in Opie's water bowl and to explore the cabinet where Mommy keeps candles and other breakable items



• Says "dog" and "whoa" and what sounds like "yes", with a lisp



• Will answer the question, "What does a dog say?" with "Woo woo"



• Pulls up and cruises around



• Waves "hi" and "bye"



• Is mostly eating table food



• LOVES fresh fruit but is not crazy about vegetables



• Loves being outside and going for walks



• Gives the biggest kisses



• Plays really well by himself



• Is always so excited to see our cats and dog



• Dances to music (bops his head and moves his arms up and down)



• Is the sweetest, happiest little boy

Hannah, 3 years and 9 months

• Has just started preschool and seems to enjoy it - no tears at drop-off yesterday!



• Is still quite shy with strangers



• Loves music and dancing



• Loves her little brother and often says, "Mommy, I LOVE him!" in a voice that sounds like she's about to cry because she just loves him so much



• Still loves to read, but now she'll ask to read to us, and she'll tell us the story



• Can entertain herself for long periods of time by coloring or reading or playing in her kitchen



• Colors in the lines



• Loves water! Adam was watering the yard a couple of nights ago, and Hannah ran through the sprinkler in her clothes. Actually, she stood in the sprinkler and let it soak her!



• Is a bit of a mommy's girl right now. Ok, I'll admit it; I don't mind :)



• Is the most compassionate and sympathetic little girl. She worries so much if someone is hurt or sad.



• Has said that her favorite place in the world (after her home) is Mrs. Curl, an outdoor ice cream shop.



• She has a serious sweet tooth!



• Has gotten to be really brave on playgrounds now- doesn't need us to go up with her.



• Can spell her name.



• Is the sweetest and happiest little girl!
